How we began
Fortunato Nicoli started up the company, which still possesses his name.
The same tradition continues even after 5 generations, as a result the milling tradition has made the Company extremely reliable all over Italy. Today Giovanni Fortunato Nicoli and his son and daughter Stefano and Francesca are incharge of running the family business, which requires dealing with the progression and continuously meeting consumer needs and new challenges that are necessary in today's modern market.

Symbol of the local traditions
We have choosen Margherita as our "Ambassador of local food and traditions". She represents the Motherland in the region of Bergamo in terms of simple traditional cuisines which are tasty, healthy, organic and above all Gluten Free.

Fortunato Nicoli and his familly started up a new Mill in Costa di Mezzate (Bergamo).
1970
From polenta to...
Our polenta started being sold in the supermarkets from the 70's. Today we produce more than 10 different types of polenta such as instant, organic, high fibre, traditional, etc. We are more than polenta!

The breakfast cereals
Due to our passion and extensive research this has given us a new insight into the future of the company, breakfast cereals. A great inspiration that has transformed a simple local producer into an international Company.

It all began with corn
Corn being our main resource, it's vital that we take excellent care right from the field to the doorstep of our consumers. For this reason our corn is well looked after and stored in perfect condition in order to ensure that we continiously meet the same quality garanteed to our customers.

The traditional cereals
We have chosen to stick to the traditional method of producing cereals, as they were first created 100 years ago in America, using just steam and water.
As a result we offer our customers original, simple and heathy breakfast cereals.

Free range products
The future of Molino Nicoli aims to meet the needs of those who are into a healthy living lifestyle. Therefore, we are offering free range products which include gluten free, lactose free, palm oil free, sugar free, low fat etc.

Snacks on the go
In 2006 we invested in the new cereal bars production, that allowed us to offer our customers a variety of snacks which can be taken any time any where.

Nutrimondo
We started to support the "Nutrimondo" project in Mozambique.

Gluten free quality without compromise
As of 2010 we opened new Gluten Free dedicated plant, to guarantee our customers products which are 100% gluten free.

New offer for babies and adults
In 2013 we launched Gluten Free Crisps and Gluten Free puffs, which are not fried, palm oil free, without foods colorings and preservatives. In our opinion this is the most obvious and best choice for mums and their children.

Expo 2015
Molino Nicoli partecipated in the 2015 EXPO, due to the fact that our Company highlights the EXPO theme "Feed the Planet". We try to promote healthy eating habits.
